The tattooed hotel, more commonly known as Mario’s Palace Hotel, is an icon of outback Australia. Once a coffee house for the residents of Broken Hill and now a hotel, it has featured in films such as „Priscilla Queen of the Desert“. The inner walls of the hotel are „tattooed“ with pastoral and romantic scenes painted by Aboriginal painter, Gordon Wayne, over many years.
