This car graveyard in Kaufdorf once housed around 1000 automobiles of every imaginable age and make. Collected since 1933, they were left in the open and gradually the forest reclaimed the vehicles. Their leaking paints, oils and residues soon became an environmental concern. In 2008 the vehicles were auctioned off, removed and scrapped following a court order.
